The organisers call it the “top experience”, which captures the essence of this event. You have to experience it to understand it.  I completed it for the seventh time last Sunday.

This evening T. and I visited Siam Square.  A Japanese band was singing on the stage, and some of the spectators wearing Japanese fashions.  Including three young women wearing white shoes with enormous soles - I guess ten cm. thick.

The Bangkok “Vertical Marathon” will take place on Sunday, September 9th, at the Banyan Tree hotel in Sathorn. It costs 350 baht to register, and you can register on the day - if you get there early! Or you can register at the hotel before the day. I’ve entered this event every year since 2001 and always enjoyed it.
